In Tuesday's league outing, the Milford Mavericks (Highland, MI) basketball squad edged the visiting Walled Lake Northern Knights (Commerce, MI), by a count of 37-31.

The Mavericks (7-4) will now prepare for their outing against Lakeland (White Lake, MI). The Eagles go into the Lakes Valley bout with a 5-6 record. In their last bout, Lakeland was edged by South Lyon East (South Lyon, MI), 64-37, in a league bout.

Next up, the Knights play the Mott Corsairs (Waterford, MI) in a Lakes Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Walled Lake Northern will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.
