The Springfield Tigers basketball team scored 57 points and held the visiting Mineral Ridge Rams to 22 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Waterloo for a Mahoning Valley - Scarlet contest on Friday, January 12. Springfield will battle a Vikings team coming off a 61-52 league win over McDonald (McDonald, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 7-3.

The Rams (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Western Reserve (Berlin Center, OH). The Blue Devils enter the Mahoning Valley - Scarlet contest with a 3-8 record. In their last contest, Western Reserve triumphed over McKinley (Sebring, OH), 70-41, in a league contest.
