The Morgan Eagles basketball team scored 46 points and held the host Walnut Springs Hornets to 33 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Covington for a 1A Region III District 20 contest on Friday, January 12. Morgan will meet a Owls team coming off a 71-50 league win over Blum (Blum, TX). The Owls record now stands at 14-9.
The Hornets (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Covington (Covington, TX). The Owls enter the 1A Region III District 20 contest with a 14-10 record. In their last contest, Covington was outscored by Morgan (Morgan, TX), 66-63, in a league contest.
