The Murrah Mustangs basketball team (Jackson, MS), was overwhelmed 64-43 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS)
The Golden Wave now possess a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Germantown for a 7A Region 2 battle on Friday, January 12. Tupelo will confront a Mavericks team coming off a 58-45 league loss to Madison Central (Madison, MS). The Mavericks record now stands at 6-12.
The Mustangs (3-15) will now prepare for their battle against Clinton (Clinton, MS). The Arrows come into the 7A Region 2 battle with a 13-3 record. In their last battle, Clinton was overwhelmed by Starkville (Starkville, MS), 61-56, in a league battle.
