Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Squalicum Storm (Bellingham, WA) and the visiting Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA), saw Squalicum's basketball squad overcome Nooksack Valley by a tally of 54-39.

With the victory, Squalicum improves its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Storm travel to Mt. Baker (Deming, WA) to play the Mountaineers in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge on Friday, January 12. The Mountaineers come into the challenge with a record of 3-10. Mt. Baker lost 72-29 in their recent league challenge against Lynden (Lynden, WA)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Ferndale Golden Eagles (Ferndale, WA) in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest challenge, on Saturday, January 13. Nooksack Valley will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Golden Eagles come into the challenge with a 4-9 record after their 61-53 league loss to Burlington-Edison (Burlington, WA).
