Yoakum Bulldogs (Yoakum, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Palacios Sharks (Palacios, TX), 51-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Yoakum upgrades its record to 13-10 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Edna (Edna, TX) to clash with the Cowboys in a 3A Region IV District 25 bout on Friday, January 12. The Cowboys go into the bout with a record of 5-7. Edna lost 58-47 in their recent league bout against Rice Consolidated (Altair, TX)

Next up, the Sharks clash with the Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 25 bout, on Friday, January 12. Palacios will attempt to upgrade on its 9-16 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 52-36 league win over Tidehaven (El Maton, TX).
