Palm Desert Aztecs (Palm Desert, CA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Rancho Mirage Rattlers (Rancho Mirage, CA), 65-62 in a league bout.

With the victory, Palm Desert upgrades its record to 18-3 on the campaign. The Aztecs travel to Shadow Hills (Indio, CA) to play the Knights in a Desert Empire bout on Thursday, January 11. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 7-12. Shadow Hills won 70-48 in their recent league bout against Xavier Prep (Palm Desert, CA)

Next up, the Rattlers play the La Quinta Blackhawks (La Quinta, CA) in a Desert Empire bout, on Thursday, January 11. Rancho Mirage will attempt to upgrade on its 15-5 season record. The Blackhawks come into the bout with a 4-14 record after their 67-26 league loss to Palm Springs (Palm Springs, CA).
