Valley Indians (Lucasville, OH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Portsmouth West Senators (West Portsmouth, OH), 74-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Valley upgrades its record to 4-7 on the season. The Indians travel to Wheelersburg (Wheelersburg, OH) to clash with the Pirates in a Southern Ohio III bout on Friday, January 12. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 8-2. Wheelersburg won 55-45 in their recent league bout against Waverly (Waverly, OH)

Next up, the Senators clash with the Minford Falcons (Minford, OH) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Portsmouth West will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 9-1 record after their 58-55 league win over South Webster (South Webster, OH).
