Refugio Bobcats (Refugio, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Yorktown Wildcats (Yorktown, TX), 77-35 in a league bout.

With the victory, Refugio upgrades its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Three Rivers (Three Rivers, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 2A Region IV District 31 bout on Friday, January 12. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 11-7. Three Rivers won 63-44 in their recent league bout against Kenedy (Kenedy, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats (Skidmore, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 31 test, on Friday, January 12. Yorktown will attempt to advance on its 2-12 season record. The Bobcats go into the test with a 17-4 record after their 43-35 league loss to Port Aransas (Port Aransas, TX).
