The Starkville Academy Volunteers basketball team (Starkville, MS), was overwhelmed 88-58 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Rossville Christian Academy Wolves (Rossville, TN)

The Wolves now possess a 16-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northpoint Christian for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 13. Rossville Christian Academy will confront a Trojans team coming off a 61-34 league loss to First Assembly Christian (Cordova, TN). The Trojans record now stands at 5-4.

The Volunteers (9-10) will now prepare for their battle against Heritage Academy (Columbus, MS). The Patriots come into the MAIS 5A District 1 battle with a 10-4 record. In their last battle, Heritage Academy was overwhelmed by Bayou Academy (Cleveland, MS), 61-57, in a league battle.
