The West Tallahatchie Choctaws topped the host Shaw Warriors basketball team by a final score of 50-37 in Tuesday's league game.
In their next game, the Choctaws face the West Bolivar Eagles (Rosedale, MS) in a 1A Region 5 game, on Friday, January 12. West Tallahatchie will attempt to move on its 9-6 season record. The Eagles enter the game with a 9-10 record after their 40-31 league win over Simmons (Hollandale, MS).
With the defeat, Shaw moves to 4-14 on the year. The Warriors travel to South Delta (Rolling Fork, MS) to face the Bulldogs in a 1A Region 5 game on Friday, January 12. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 10-5. South Delta won 58-49 in their recent league game against Leland (Leland, MS)
