The Smithville Braves basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Whitesboro Bulldogs to 45 in the Braves non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Braves now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valliant for a McCurtain Six contest on Friday, January 12. Smithville will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 66-38 league loss to Rattan (Rattan, OK). The Bulldogs record now stands at 10-2.
The Bulldogs (1-11) will now prepare for their contest against Red Oak (Red Oak, OK). The Eagles come into the Rock Island contest with a 11-4 record. In their last contest, Red Oak prevailed over Leflore (Leflore, OK), 60-28, in a league contest.
