Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Western Beaver trounced by Union Area

January 9, 2024: New Castle, PA 16101

In Tuesday's league match, the host Union Area Scotties basketball team scored a decisive 56-25 triumph over the Western Beaver Golden Beavers.

In their next game, the Scotties meet the Rochester Rams (Rochester, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 1 match, on Friday, January 12. Union Area will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Rams enter the match with a 7-4 record after their 56-51 league win over Carlynton (Carnegie, PA).

With the defeat, Western Beaver moves to 2-12 on the year. The Golden beavers travel to Cornell (Coraopolis, PA) to meet the Raiders in a WPIAL 1A 1 match on Friday, January 12. The Raiders enter the match with a record of 1-8. Cornell lost 69-63 in their recent league match against Avella (Avella, PA)
