The Wellsville Tigers basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Valley Christian Eagles to 66 in the Tigers league victory on Tuesday.

The Tigers now sport a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Leetonia for a Eastern Ohio contest on Friday, January 12. Wellsville will battle a Bears team coming off a 62-57 league win over Southern (Salineville, OH). The Bears record now stands at 3-9.

The Eagles (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against United (Hanoverton, OH). The Golden Eagles come into the Eastern Ohio contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, United was nudged by David Anderson (Lisbon, OH), 47-39, in a league contest.
