The Appalachian Eagles basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Jefferson Christian Academy Eagles to 35 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Talladega County Central for a 1A Area 10 contest on Thursday, January 11. Appalachian will meet a Fighting Tigers team coming off a 44-42 league win over Ragland (Ragland, AL). The Fighting Tigers record now stands at 6-10.
The Eagles (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Ragland (Ragland, AL). The Purple Devils enter the 1A Area 10 contest with a 0-17 record. In their last contest, Ragland was routed by Victory Christian (Pell City, AL), 63-15, in a league contest.
