St. James Wildcats (St. James, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Berwick Panthers (Berwick, LA), 47-10 in a league bout.

With the victory, St. James upgrades its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to E.D. White (Thibodaux, LA) to play the Cardinals in a 3A District 8 bout on Friday, January 12. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 15-6. E.D. White won 51-18 in their recent non-league bout against Metairie Park Country Day (Metairie, LA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Loreauville Tigers (Loreauville, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 11. Berwick will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 47-39 non-league win over Centerville (Centerville, LA).
