The Estacado Matadors basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Big Spring Steers to 13 in the Matadors league victory on Tuesday.
The Matadors now sport a 14-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake View for a 4A Region I District 5 contest on Friday, January 12. Estacado will battle a Chiefs team coming off a 43-7 league loss to Sweetwater (Sweetwater, TX). The Chiefs record now stands at 0-21.
The Steers (1-18) will now prepare for their contest against Snyder (Snyder, TX). The Tigers come into the 4A Region I District 5 contest with a 10-15 record. In their last contest, Snyder was routed by Levelland (Levelland, TX), 59-31, in a league contest.
