Blue Mountain Cougars (Blue Mountain, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Hickory Flat Rebels (Hickory Flat, MS), 65-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Blue Mountain upgrades its record to 20-1 on the season. The Cougars travel to Coffeeville (Coffeeville, MS) to clash with the Pirates in a 1A Region 3 bout on Friday, January 12. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Coffeeville won 52-10 in their recent league bout against Strayhorn (Sarah, MS)

Next up, the Rebels clash with the Byers Lions (Holly Springs, MS) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 11. Hickory Flat will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record.
