The Bovina Mustangs basketball team (Bovina, TX), was overwhelmed 73-15 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Farwell Steers (Farwell, TX)

The Steers now possess a 21-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highland Park for a 2A Region I District 3 battle on Friday, January 12. Farwell will confront a Hornets team coming off a 78-26 league loss to Vega (Vega, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 2-17.

The Mustangs (4-9) will now prepare for their battle against Boys Ranch (Boys Ranch, TX). The Roughriders come into the 2A Region I District 3 battle with a 7-10 record. In their last battle, Boys Ranch was overwhelmed by Panhandle (Panhandle, TX), 78-23, in a league battle.
