Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Covington Chargers (Covington, TN) and the host Brighton Cardinals (Brighton, TN), saw Covington's basketball squad hold off Brighton by a tally of 47-40.
With the victory, Covington improves its record to 4-12 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Raleigh-Egypt (Memphis, TN) to confront the Pharaohs in a 3A District 15 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Pharaohs come into the challenge with a record of 2-6. Raleigh-Egypt lost 55-20 in their recent league challenge against Millington Central (Millington, TN)
Next up, the Cardinals confront the Craigmont Chiefs (Memphis, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 12. Brighton will attempt to improve on its 5-14 season record. The Chiefs come into the challenge with a 3-9 record after their 55-18 league loss to Munford (Munford, TN).
