Brockton Boxers (Brockton, MA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Durfee Hilltoppers (Fall River, MA), 42-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Brockton upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Boxers travel to Bridgewater-Raynham (Bridgewater, MA) to play the Trojans in a Southeast bout on Friday, January 12. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 6-1. Bridgewater-Raynham won 70-46 in their recent non-league bout against North Quincy (North Quincy, MA)

Next up, the Hilltoppers play the Dartmouth Indians (South Dartmouth, MA) in a Southeast bout, on Friday, January 12. Durfee will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 10-0 record after their 70-40 league win over New Bedford (New Bedford, MA).
