Huntington Red Devils (Huntington, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Central Heights Blue Devils (Nacogdoches, TX), 45-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Huntington upgrades its record to 21-6 on the season. The Red Devils host Diboll (Diboll, TX) to play the Lumberjacks in a 3A Region III District 21 bout on Friday, January 12. The Lumberjacks go into the bout with a record of 15-9. Diboll won 48-32 in their recent league bout against Newton (Newton, TX)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Hemphill Hornets (Hemphill, TX) in a 3A Region III District 21 bout, on Friday, January 12. Central Heights will attempt to upgrade on its 10-10 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 6-11 record after their 66-28 league loss to Pineywoods Community Academy (Lufkin, TX).
