The Muscle Shoals Trojans basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Columbia Eagles to 35 in the Trojans league triumph on Tuesday.
The Trojans now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hartselle for a non-league contest on Friday, January 12. Muscle Shoals will meet a Tigers team coming off a 61-49 league win over Decatur (Decatur, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 13-5.
The Eagles (7-16) will now prepare for their contest against Athens (Athens, AL). The Golden Eagles enter the 6A Area 15 contest with a 5-12 record. In their last contest, Athens was defeated by Madison Academy (Madison, AL), 50-42, in a non-league contest.
