The Columbus Cardinals basketball team scored 38 points and restricted the visiting Tidehaven Tigers to 27 in the Cardinals league victory on Tuesday.

The Cardinals now sport a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Palacios for a 3A Region IV District 25 contest on Friday, January 12. Columbus will battle a Sharks team coming off a 47-32 league loss to Yoakum (Yoakum, TX). The Sharks record now stands at 17-8.

The Tigers (16-9) will now prepare for their contest against Hallettsville (Hallettsville, TX). The Brahmas come into the 3A Region IV District 25 contest with a 23-5 record. In their last contest, Hallettsville prevailed over Industrial (Vanderbilt, TX), 43-34, in a league contest.
