West Mesquite Wranglers (Mesquite, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Conrad Chargers (Dallas, TX), 55-35 in a league bout.

With the win, West Mesquite upgrades its record to 7-17 on the season. The Wranglers travel to Adams (Dallas, TX) to play the Cougars in a 5A Region II District 12 bout on Friday, January 12. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 3-10. Adams lost 57-32 in their recent league bout against North Mesquite (Mesquite, TX)

Next up, the Chargers play the Seagoville Dragons (Dallas, TX) in a 5A Region II District 12 bout, on Friday, January 12. Conrad will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 11-10 record after their 64-25 league loss to Poteet (Mesquite, TX).
