Kaplan Pirates (Kaplan, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Crowley Gent (Crowley, LA), 53-11 in a league bout.

With the win, Kaplan upgrades its record to 9-9 on the season. The Pirates host Kinder (Kinder, LA) to play the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 11. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 11-7.

Next up, the Gent play the Abbeville Wildcats (Abbeville, LA) in a 3A District 5 bout, on Friday, January 12. Crowley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-8 season record.
