With the win, Oakwood Christian upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Eagles host Excel Christian Academy (Cartersville, GA) to play the Eagles in a GAPPS - I-AA Region 1 bout on Thursday, January 11. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 3-5. Excel Christian Academy lost 43-29 in their recent league bout against Johnson Ferry Christian Academy (Marietta, GA)

Next up, the Pumas play the Gordon Central Warriors (Calhoun, GA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Dalton Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-12 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 64-24 league loss to Model (Rome, GA).
