Pitkin Tigers (Pitkin, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting East Beauregard Trojans (DeRidder, LA), 56-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pitkin upgrades its record to 18-11 on the campaign. The Tigers host Anacoco (Anacoco, LA) to play the Indians in a B District 4 bout on Friday, January 12. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 25-4. Anacoco won 75-44 in their recent league bout against Elizabeth (Elizabeth, LA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Plainview Hornets (Glenmora, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 11. East Beauregard will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Hornets come into the bout with a 10-14 record after their 65-48 non-league loss to Hicks (Leesville, LA).
