With the win, Taylorville upgrades its record to 16-3 on the season. The Tornadoes host Charleston (Charleston, IL) to clash with the Trojans in a Apollo bout on Friday, January 12. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 4-13. Charleston lost 61-28 in their recent league bout against Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL)

Next up, the Flaming Hearts clash with the Paris Tigers (Paris, IL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 11. Effingham will attempt to upgrade on its 16-4 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 13-7 record after their 40-35 non-league loss to Taylorville (Taylorville, IL).
