Texas High School Basketball - Elkhart ripped by Fairfield

The Fairfield Eagles basketball team scored 75 points and held the visiting Elkhart Elks to 36 in the Eagles league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 22-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westwood for a 3A Region III District 20 contest on Friday, January 12. Fairfield will meet a Panthers team coming off a 33-29 league loss to Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 8-15.
The Elks (11-12) will now prepare for their contest against Teague (Teague, TX). The Lions enter the 3A Region III District 20 contest with a 13-11 record. In their last contest, Teague was routed by Mexia (Mexia, TX), 57-35, in a league contest.
