California High School Basketball - Hanford West can't hold off Exeter

The Exeter Monarchs basketball team scored 37 points and held the visiting Hanford West Huskies to 34 in the Monarchs non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Monarchs now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Selma for a Tri-County - Sequoia contest on Thursday, January 11. Exeter will battle a Bears team coming off a 61-39 league win over Central Valley Christian (Visalia, CA). The Bears record now stands at 10-6.

The Huskies (6-11) will now prepare for their contest against Kingsburg (Kingsburg, CA). The Vikings enter the Tri-County - Kings Canyon contest with a 3-14 record. In their last contest, Kingsburg was nudged by Immanuel (Reedley, CA), 50-16, in a league contest.
