The Littlefield Wildcats basketball team scored 74 points and restricted the host Friona Chieftans to 43 in the Wildcats league win on Tuesday.

With the win, Littlefield upgrades its record to 16-6 on the season. The Wildcats host Muleshoe (Muleshoe, TX) to clash with the Mules in a 3A Region I District 3 bout on Friday, January 12. The Mules go into the bout with a record of 4-13. Muleshoe lost 45-28 in their recent league bout against Brownfield (Brownfield, TX)

Next up, the Chieftans clash with the Lamesa Tornadoes (Lamesa, TX) in a 3A Region I District 3 bout, on Friday, January 12. Friona will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Tornadoes go into the bout with a 16-9 record after their 35-31 league loss to Littlefield (Littlefield, TX).
