Union Parish Farmers (Farmerville, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host General Trass Panthers (Lake Providence, LA), 46-25 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Union Parish upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Farmers host Franklin Parish (Winnsboro, LA) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 11. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 4-12. Franklin Parish lost 48-37 in their recent league bout against Neville (Monroe, LA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Madison Jaguars (Tallulah, LA) in a 2A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. General Trass will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Jaguars go into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 43-39 non-league loss to Lincoln Prep (Grambling, LA).
