The Grants Pass Cavemen basketball team scored 43 points and held the host North Medford Black Tornado to 29 in the Cavemen league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cavemen now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Willamette for a 6A Southwest contest on Thursday, January 11. Grants Pass will confront a Wolverines team coming off a 59-22 league win over Sheldon (Eugene, OR). The Wolverines record now stands at 9-5.

The Black Tornado (4-9) will now prepare for their battle against South Eugene (Eugene, OR). The Axe come into the 6A Southwest battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, South Eugene was toppled by McNary (Keizer, OR), 51-42, in a non-league battle.
