Hampton Bulldogs (Hampton, AR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Nevada Blue Jays (Rosston, AR), 52-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hampton upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Fordyce (Fordyce, AR) to play the Redbugs in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 11. The Redbugs come into the bout with a record of 6-10. Fordyce won 36-24 in their recent non-league bout against Arkansas (Texarkana, AR)

Next up, the Blue Jays play the Dermott Rams (Dermott, AR) in a 1A Region 8 bout, on Friday, January 12. Nevada will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 0-20 record after their 67-17 league loss to Emerson (Emerson, AR).
