The Hayfield Vikings basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting Randolph Rockets to 30 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Vikings now sport a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 11. Hayfield will play a Panthers squad coming off a 68-61 league win over Waterville-Elysian-Morristown (Waterville, MN). The Panthers record now stands at 12-2.

Next up, the Rockets play the Triton Cobras (Dodge Center, MN) in a AA Section 1 challenge, on Thursday, January 11. Randolph will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Cobras come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 44-40 non-league loss to Blooming Prairie (Blooming Prairie, MN).
