Marbury Bulldogs (Marbury, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Holtville Bulldogs (Deatsville, AL), 61-22 in a league bout.
With the win, Marbury upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Bulldogs host Elmore County (Eclectic, AL) to play the Panthers in a 5A Area 6 bout on Friday, January 12. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 4-6. Elmore County lost 44-38 in their recent non-league bout against Wetumpka (Wetumpka, AL)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Jemison Panthers (Jemison, AL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 11. Holtville will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 37-31 non-league loss to Oak Grove (Bessemer, AL).
