Mansfield Summit Jaguars (Arlington, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Joshua Owls (Joshua, TX), 52-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Mansfield Summit upgrades its record to 7-17 on the season. The Jaguars host Midlothian (Midlothian, TX) to clash with the Panthers in a 5A Region I District 8 bout on Friday, January 12. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 4-21. Midlothian lost 49-34 in their recent league bout against Midlothian Heritage (Midlothian, TX)

Next up, the Owls clash with the Mansfield Timberview Wolves (Arlington, TX) in a 5A Region I District 8 bout, on Friday, January 12. Joshua will attempt to upgrade on its 14-13 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 27-1 record after their 61-30 league win over Cleburne (Cleburne, TX).
