The Newark Memorial Cougars basketball team scored 50 points and restricted the host Kennedy Titans to 38 in the Cougars league win on Tuesday.

With the win, Newark Memorial upgrades its record to 5-8 on the season. The Cougars host James Logan (Union City, CA) to clash with the Colts in a Mission Valley bout on Thursday, January 11. The Colts go into the bout with a record of 10-4. James Logan lost 48-41 in their recent league bout against Irvington (Fremont, CA)

Next up, the Titans clash with the Moreau Catholic Mariners (Hayward, CA) in a Mission Valley bout, on Thursday, January 11. Kennedy will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Mariners go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 77-39 league win over Washington (Fremont, CA).
