The Lakeland Eagles (White Lake, MI) basketball nipped the host South Lyon East Cougars (South Lyon, MI), 36-31 in Tuesday's league test.
The Eagles (7-1) will now prepare for their test against Milford (Highland, MI). The Mavericks go into the Lakes Valley test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, Milford was tipped by Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI), 31-26, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they host South Lyon for a Lakes Valley test on Friday, January 12. South Lyon East will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 57-33 league win over Walled Lake Western (Walled Lake, MI). The Lions record now stands at 8-0.
