Landmark Christian War Eagles (Fairburn, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting McNair Mustangs (Atlanta, GA), 46-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Landmark Christian upgrades its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The War Eagles host Elite Scholars Academy (Jonesboro, GA) to play the Royal Knights in a AA Region 5 bout on Friday, January 12. The Royal Knights come into the bout with a record of 0-9. Elite Scholars Academy lost 42-34 in their recent league bout against Redan (Stone Mountain, GA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Eagle's Landing Christian Academy Chargers (McDonough, GA) in a AA Region 5 bout, on Friday, January 12. McNair will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Chargers come into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 86-34 league loss to Callaway (Hogansville, GA).
