The Northeast Lauderdale Trojans (Meridian, MS) basketball felled the visiting Leake Central Gators (Carthage, MS), 62-50 in Tuesday's league test.
The Trojans (8-8) will now prepare for their test against Newton County (Decatur, MS). The Cougars go into the 4A Region 4 test with a 9-8 record. In their last test, Newton County thwarted West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS), 66-44, in a league test.
The Gators now own a 13-4 record. They play next when they travel to Choctaw Central for a 4A Region 4 test on Tuesday, January 16.
