In Tuesday's league outing, the Oceanside Mariners (Rockland, ME) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME), by a count of 62-27.
The Mariners (9-0) will now prepare for their outing against Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME). The Eagles go into the B South outing with a 7-3 record. In their last outing, Lincoln Academy smashed Erskine Academy (South China, ME), 56-49, in a non-league outing.
The Hornets now hold a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Erskine Academy for a non-league outing on Friday, January 12. Leavitt will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 56-49 non-league loss to Lincoln Academy (Newcastle, ME). The Eagles record now stands at 3-5.
