The Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX) basketball nipped the host Little River Academy Bumblebees (Little River Academy, TX), 31-27 in Tuesday's league test.
The Leopards (20-5) will now prepare for their test against Troy (Troy, TX). The Trojans go into the 3A Region III District 19 test with a 14-9 record. In their last test, Troy was tipped by Rockdale (Rockdale, TX), 45-40, in a league test.
The Bumblebees now own a 18-8 record. They play next when they travel to Lexington for a 3A Region III District 19 test on Friday, January 12. Little River Academy will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 42-34 league loss to C.H. Yoe (Cameron, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 16-9.
