The Pike Liberal Arts Patriots basketball team (Troy, AL), was overwhelmed 81-9 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Luverne Tigers (Luverne, AL)
The Tigers now possess a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Highland Home for a 2A Area 4 battle on Thursday, January 11. Luverne will confront a Flying Squadron team coming off a 57-18 league win over Zion Chapel (Jack, AL). The Flying Squadron record now stands at 5-3.
The Patriots (1-14) will now prepare for their battle against Northside Methodist Academy (Dothan, AL). The Knights come into the non-league battle with a 12-5 record. In their last battle, Northside Methodist Academy was overwhelmed by Rehobeth (Dothan, AL), 30-28, in a non-league battle.
