Texas High School Basketball - Van Horn thwarts Marfa

The Van Horn Eagles (Van Horn, TX) basketball knocked off the visiting Marfa Shorthorns (Marfa, TX), 42-22 in Tuesday's league test.

The Eagles (12-7) will now prepare for their test against Fort Davis (Fort Davis, TX). The Indians go into the 1A Region II District 9 test with a 3-3 record.

The Shorthorns now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Big Bend for a 1A Region II District 9 contest on Friday, January 12. Marfa will battle a Roadrunners team coming off a 42-15 league loss to Balmorhea (Balmorhea, TX). The Roadrunners record now stands at 0-3.
