Georgia High School Basketball - Newnan can't hold off Paulding County

The Paulding County Patriots basketball team scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Newnan Cougars to 43 in the Patriots league victory on Tuesday.

The Patriots now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Manchester for a AAAAAA Region 5 contest on Friday, January 12. Paulding County will battle a Jaguar team coming off a 62-33 league win over South Paulding (Douglasville, GA). The Jaguar record now stands at 11-4.

The Cougars (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against South Paulding (Douglasville, GA). The Spartans come into the AAAAAA Region 5 contest with a 3-13 record. In their last contest, South Paulding was nudged by New Manchester (Douglasville, GA), 62-33, in a league contest.
