With the victory, Straughn upgrades its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Hillcrest (Evergreen, AL) to play the Jaguars in a 3A Area 2 bout on Thursday, January 11. The Jaguars come into the bout with a record of 5-9. Hillcrest won 51-27 in their recent league bout against W.S. Neal (East Brewton, AL)

Next up, the Eagles play the McKenzie Tigers (McKenzie, AL) in a 1A Area 3 bout, on Friday, January 12. Pleasant Home will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 66-44 league loss to Red Level (Red Level, AL).
