With the win, Tyler upgrades its record to 20-9 on the season. The Lions travel to Texas (Texarkana, TX) to play the Tigers in a 5A Region II District 15 bout on Friday, January 12. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 10-7. Texas lost 50-27 in their recent league bout against Longview (Longview, TX)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Hallsville Bobcats (Hallsville, TX) in a 5A Region II District 15 bout, on Friday, January 12. Whitehouse will attempt to upgrade on its 17-8 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 8-16 record after their 47-44 league loss to Marshall (Marshall, TX).
