Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the West Trojans (West, TX) and the host Whitney Wildcats (Whitney, TX), saw West's basketball squad wallop Whitney by a tally of 50-25.
With the victory, West improves its record to 21-1 on the campaign. The Trojans host Maypearl (Maypearl, TX) to confront the Panthers in a 3A Region III District 17 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 15-12. Maypearl won 53-43 in their recent league challenge against Keene (Keene, TX)
Next up, the Wildcats confront the Clifton Cubs (Clifton, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 12. Whitney will attempt to improve on its 7-13 season record. The Cubs come into the challenge with a 14-9 record after their 41-35 league loss to Grandview (Grandview, TX).
